Gallery wall DIY

Let's talk gallery walls.

First off, you know I'm a photo nut. I loooove to have photos of people and things that are important to me everywhere, so the best way I've found to display all this is- GALLERY WALLS. And I may have gotten a little obsessed. And done THREE. And I honestly adore them.

There are a few things you want to decide while planning, gathering, and hanging your gallery walls, like how big your space is and what you want the feel to be. I let my walls be different.

I had to remind myself multiple times that these aren't totally permanent!! I can switch the photos out easy-peasy. This is supposed to be fun and showcase who you are and what your style is.

This wall in my living room is my favorite. You can't tell in the picture, but it spans about 6 feet across. A little overboard? NOPE. I love it. I have my favorite pictures of me and handsome, and some gorgeous vintage pieces. I love how colorful and fun this is, just like my house. I will link the prints at the bottom of this post :)

Get creative! This frame was the perfect size, but didn't have the wood piece in the back. Can you tell which one it is looking at the wall? Nope!

Get cheap! Thrift shop for some, if not all, of your frames. I think over half of the frames in my gallery walls are thrifted, most for less than a dollar! I painted them however I want and love it! The rest I either already had or got from Hobby Lobby.

Also! You don't have to make 9 million holes in your wall! These velcro command strips are everything. So convenient, and you can still take them off the wall to switch out your photo!

I lay all my photos out on the floor (sorry for everyone who has had to jump over my
walls-on-the-floor!) and when I get them how I looove them, I trace the frames on butcher paper. Don't forget to label the papers!

This is in our bedroom. It is even longer than the one above! I decided to do all black frames, and for this room, I am really happy with it. It feels more tied together, and goes with the color scheme.

This is my newest addition. Our travel wall! This was so hard to photograph!
I left the pattern open, so I can add more frames as I please. And it's more round to fit the space, instead of vertical like my others.

Closeup of my new map print from Alexa Z Design. It has such a cute feel and was the perfect touch for this wall!

I adore this quote, and was looking for a print of it for my home. I have pieces from Alexa in every single room of my house (no joke!!), and when I saw this print, I fell in love! She has so many darling things in her etsy shop. I need to have them all!! The temple drawing in my living room wall is also from her, as well as the 'You've Got Mail' prints. Loves the temple and loves my favorite movie?? A girl after my own heart.
